False Nesting... It's real.

Do you ever get in a cleaning mood where you start in one room and totally SCRUB like every inch of the room? I mean you dust, vaccum like three times, light a candle and organize shelves. You get so proud of yourself you decide to sit and take a break… and just totally lose it. Any desire to finish cleaning the house is just lost forever and you are stuck with one room of the house looking like a fairy of cleaning came down and blessed it while the rest of the house looks like a tornado came through. You sit and “relax” (which is code for lazy) and try not to look or think about the other rooms. You pretend you are SUPER busy scrolling through facebook or that “the kids are playing quiet, if I get up to clean it will distract them”.
Yeah, that mood. I think that mood should have a name. Like “false nesting”, you know, because “nesting” is when you clean and go all crazy getting ready for a new baby. Well “false nesting” should be when you go like half crazy and then just quit. It’s not my fault I didn’t finish the house, really, it’s a disease.
On the bright side though, if you don’t look anywhere else in the house, this room looks ah-mazing. Like who even knew picture frames could sparkle?
